Aquamiis is a soothing and relaxing monster collection game, set in a meadow where an enchanted pond used to bring about many mythical creatures! However, due to a disastrous drought, the water in the pond stopped replenishing, and the creatures left with it. Now, it's the player’s duty to bring the rain back!

The cookie-clicker game made with the player experience goal of being both relaxing and stress-relieving. We chose clicking as our main mechanic in order to produce something that stuck with the player experience goals we wanted. In fact, we found that cookie-clicker games usually help handle stress and anxiety really well by providing a background sensory activity for people who feel overwhelmed; through the repetitive motion of clicking. Our core game loop is also kept simple so that the game doesn’t become too overwhelming for players, which often happens when there’s too many tasks to manage. Thus, the only thing the player really needs to focus on is clicking and buying pods!
